Peggy Sharon

Peggy Sharon is a senior partner in Levitan, Sharon & Co, in Tel Aviv, and is a member of the Israeli Bar Association.
Peggy heads the litigation department and specialises in multi-jurisdictional disputes, insurance and reinsurance, class actions and aviation law.
Peggy has brought about the creation of several important Supreme Court precedents, mainly in matters of insurance law including interpretation of policies – such as premises in BBB, physical damage in product liability insurance and double insurance of two insureds on same interest – various precedents on civil procedure, such as applicability of the New York Convention on Arbitration Awards, scope of defences, public policy in enforcement of foreign judgments, etc.
On matters of insurance, aviation, product liability and class actions Peggy has published and lectured extensively in seminars of the Israeli Bar Association and educational institutes managed by Tel Aviv University. Her publications include the Israeli chapter in International Execution Against Judgment Debtors; Attacking Foreign Assets, published by the Center for International Legal Studies (Lloyds of London Press); International Franchising (part of the 2007 Comparative Law Yearbook series), Israeli chapter, published by Wolters Kluwer; and the Israeli section in Enforcement of Foreign Judgments (comparative reviews), published by LLP Limited, and periodical newsletters covering Israeli law on aviation for the International Law Office.
As a graduate, cum laude, of Tel Aviv University, Peggy was assistant lecturer at the university, for six years, on contract law and jurisprudence. At the AIDA International Association for Insurance Law, Peggy represents the Israeli chapter in the Reinsurance Working Party, writing a comparative report on limitation, and is a member of the AIDA Europe Council.
