Professor David Grant

David Grant was Professor of Law at Northumbria University where he founded the Travel Law Centre in 1992 and the International Travel Law Journal in 1994. He is the author of ‘Holiday Law’, with Stephen Mason, (4th ed. 2007) and ‘Hotel Law’, with Helen Douglas and Julia Sharpley (2007). He has written extensively on travel law and has given papers at numerous international conferences. He was a member of the Air Transport Users Council (AUC) for eight years and of Newcastle Airport Consultative Committee and is currently a member of the Air Transport Insolvency Protection Advisory Committee (ATIPAC). He is also a member of the Civil Procedure Rule Committee. He is an active member of the International Bar Association Leisure Industries Committee and of TATLA, the Travel and Tourism Lawyers Association. After retiring from the School of Law at Northumbria he founded the Travel Law Quarterly in 2009. In 2009 he was made Visiting Professor of Travel Law at Leeds Metropolitan University (last updated May 2010)
